Commissions
I accept commissions if it is something I could do well and would enjoy. If you contact me about this I will be honest about what I can do well. This tends to be work similar to that on my web site but there are exceptions. I have always been interested in design and I enjoy the challenge of creating work to go with the pre-existing colour, decor, space, lighting, style and environment of a specific room or home.
		Sample 1. "Shoreline" The theme of the room was already set with granite counter tops, square stone tiles on parts of the floor and the back splash, dark brown furniture, white kitchen cupboards, wood floor and it had a modern but natural feel. I decided to create four square separate panels of pebbles to pick up the square motif and the rock theme. The white foam connects the paintings and connects with the colour of the cupboards. The room had a masculine feel to it and the undulating foam and circle theme in the work counteract this while still complementing the room. Most of the colours in the painting are already in the room but as they are all "warm" I also introduced a few cool blues and greens for relief. The sand colour is the same as the walls. The paintings have dark brown edges to match the furniture. This painting works in the room but is still very much my vision and is unique.



		Sample 2. "Rounded up" The entire room was decorated in very dark brown, beige and white. The adjoining bathroom had a rock theme with granite counters and slate floors. Hence the subject and lack of colour in the painting. I framed it in a substantial dark brown wood to match the furniture in the room. The undulating wave pattern gives relief to the geometric design. No additional colours were used in the painting as this room has great impact from it's simple but sophisticated modern design.

		Sample 3. "West Coast" This awkward space invited a long painting. I used a West Coast theme as it incorporated all the colours in the furnishings: blues, beiges, browns and white. I left it unframed as I did not want a "contained" feel as the painting has movement and is fairly "free".
